Dr. Hart’s path to medicine began during a medical mission trip to Costa Rica, where she provided care to underserved women and children. Witnessing the life-changing impact of accessible, compassionate care ignited her commitment to plastic and reconstructive surgery. She went on to complete medical school at Emory University, followed by an intensive six-year plastic surgery residency and a chief residency in the same program. Her early career focused heavily on breast cancer care, and she conducted award-winning research on enhancing recovery and reducing pain after breast surgery—a passion that continues to influence her patient-centered approach today.

Today, Dr. Hart is the physician owner of Dr. Alexandra Hart Plastic Surgery, a boutique, concierge-style practice she founded to offer patients a highly personalized, well-rounded experience grounded in warmth, transparency, and exceptional surgical care. She is an active member of the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, where she has contributed to advancing surgical education by creating a dedicated oral board review course for new members—supporting the next generation of plastic surgeons as they enter the field. Known for staying at the forefront of emerging techniques and evidence-based innovations, Dr. Hart continually refines her approach to ensure her patients receive the safest, most modern, and most natural results possible. Outside the operating room, she is a proud mother to Presley and Jack, and wife to her equally supportive husband. She’s an Atlanta native who loves traveling, cheering on UGA football, and working out—and admittedly hates cooking.
